Online Quran classes for kids
Short, encouraging one-to-one lessons that help children enjoy reading the Quran. Your child learns at home with the same teacher each week, and you get a note after every class.
Courses children usually take
Most children begin with Noorani Qaida. The free trial includes a short level check, so your child neither repeats what they know nor skips what they missed.
Noorani Qaida
Arabic letters, vowel marks and joining: the foundation for reading the Quran.
Quran Reading
Read the Mushaf accurately and fluently, with every line heard and corrected.
Tajweed
Makharij, noon sakinah, madd and more, practised in real verses until they become habit.
Hifz
Part-time memorisation, with sabaq, sabqi and manzil checked and recorded every class.
A rough guide by age
Every child is different, and the teacher will advise after the trial. As a starting point:
- Ages 5 to 8: Noorani Qaida in short lessons, 4 days a week for 30 minutes
- Ages 9 to 11: Qaida or Quran Reading, often starting Tajweed, 3 days a week for 40 minutes
- Ages 12 and up: Quran Reading, Tajweed, Khatam or part-time Hifz
Safeguarding. Lessons take place on video with a parent at home. We recommend children use a device in a shared room, and we never ask children for personal contact details.
What makes online Quran lessons work for children
Short and regular
Young children concentrate best for 20 to 30 minutes. Frequent short lessons build reading faster than one long weekly lesson.
The same teacher every week
Children settle with a familiar face. We keep the same teacher where possible and tell you in advance about any change.
Praise and correction together
Mistakes are corrected straight away, gently and with encouragement, so children are not afraid to read aloud.
Taught in Bangla
Lessons are taught in Bangla, the language of home. For children who are more comfortable in English, we have teachers who teach in English too.
Kept informed as a parent
After each class the teacher records attendance, the page or lesson covered and what to practise. You can see this, with upcoming classes and invoices, in the parent and student portal.
Ten minutes of practice on the days between lessons makes the biggest difference. The teacher will tell you exactly what to practise.
Should I sit with my child during lessons?
For children under eight, it helps to be nearby for the first few lessons to settle them and help with the device. Older children usually manage on their own in a shared room.
My child is shy. Will one-to-one lessons help?
Often, yes. Without classmates watching, shy children tend to read aloud more confidently. Teachers start gently and build up.
Can siblings share a lesson?
Lessons are one-to-one so each child gets full attention. Siblings can take back-to-back lessons with the same teacher.
What if we need to miss a class?
Let us know as early as you can. How rescheduling works is explained in our terms of enrolment.
